Exhibition Showcases Teachers’ and Artists’ Creations Despite Challenges

The city of Rania in the Kurdistan Region witnessed the opening of an art exhibition under the slogan “Life Without Art is a Canvas Without Color,” with wide participation from art teachers, artists, and intellectuals from the Raperin area.

Rania — The painting exhibition opened in the city of Rania highlighted the creativity and artistic talents of teachers, emphasizing the role of art in strengthening cultural bonds and enriching the local art scene, despite the economic challenges facing the Raperin area.

Today, Tuesday, December 9, an art exhibition titled “Life Without Art is a Canvas Without Color” opened in Rania, with the participation of several teachers, artists, and intellectuals from the Raperin region.

The exhibition featured a collection of paintings that reflected the artistic visions and creativity of the region’s teachers, showcasing their skills and craftsmanship in expressing the world through art. The event aimed to enhance communication between artists and the public, highlight local creative talents, and demonstrate the role of art in enriching cultural life.

Suzan Abu Bakr Abdul, an art teacher at Brusik School and one of the exhibition participants, stated that the event gave teachers a special feeling after many years of service, as it provided them with the opportunity to present their works to the public. She noted that art in Raperin faces challenges due to the financial crisis, but the presence of many successful teachers in the artistic field helped overcome these difficulties, with the support of school administrators.

She added that the participants plan to continue organizing these activities annually, whether through exhibitions or school events, emphasizing that the works on display reflect the efforts of the teachers. She also highlighted that reaching a level of recognition across the governorates is a proud achievement.
