Türkiye: 28 women killed by men in July
In Türkiye, 28 women and three children were killed and 25 women died under suspicious circumstances in July 2025, according to a report released by JINNEWS, an all-women’s news agency based in Amed.

News Center- JINNEWS, an all-women’s news agency based in Amed (Diyarbakır), has released its July 2025 report on femicide in Türkiye by compiling news from local and national newspapers, news websites and news agencies.
28 women and three children were killed and 25 women died under suspicious circumstances in July, the report said.
According to the report, nine women were killed by their husbands, one by her father-in-law, one by her brother, six by their partners, one by her son, two by men she knew, three by their male relatives, three by their ex-husbands, one by her ex-partner, one by her estranged husband.
In the report, the news agency also wrote the names of cities, where women were killed. Five women were killed in Istanbul, three in Amed (Diyarbakır), one in Antalya, one in Zonguldak, one in Samsun, one in Ardahan, one in Ankara, two in Malatya, one in Bartın, one in Eskişehir, one in Muğla, one in Izmir, one in Maraş, three in Mersin, one in Denizli, one in Edirne, one in Adana and one in Hatay.
The report reveals that most women were killed by their husbands or male relatives in July 2025.
