Death toll from hunger rises to 180

The number of people who have died from hunger in the besieged Gaza Strip has risen to 180, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, reporting that 93 of the victims were children.

Access to food, clean water, medicine, and hygiene supplies has become nearly impossible in the enclave due to the ongoing Israeli blockade and restrictions on humanitarian aid, receiving criticism, accusing it of using starvation as a weapon of war.

Nearly 2 million displaced

Israeli military operations have reportedly targeted shelters and civilian infrastructure in the enclave. Out of Gaza’s population of approximately 2.3 million, nearly 2 million people have been displaced by the ongoing Israel’s bombardments and forced evacuations.
