News Center- Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) has released a statement about the attack on the building of HDP in Izmir and killing of Deniz Poyraz.

The statement is as follows;

“Our party has been targeted by the ruling party and the Ministry of Interior for months and some families have been organized and directed to our provincial building for provocation. As a result of these targets, an armed assailant attacked our Izmir provincial building at around 10:30 in the morning. The armed assailant reportedly to be 35-40 years old attacked the building of our party while our friend Deniz Poyraz was in the building. He opened fire around and set the building on fire. The assailant wasn’t intervened for a long time. We lost our comrade Deniz Poyraz in the attack. When the attack was heard, HDP members are gathering in front of the building located in the Konak district.

As a result of the provocation rehearsal in the Kobanî Conspiracy Trial held in Sincan yesterday, the purpose and message of today’s attack is obvious. Those who carried out this very dangerous provocation, the instigator and abettor of this brutal attack are the AKP-MHP government and the Ministry of Interior which constantly targets our party and our members.”
