Şenyaşar family has held a sit-in protest in front of the Urfa Courthouse demanding justice for 99 days. “There is so much cruelty but nobody brings them to account,” the Şenyaşar family said.

Riha - Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in an attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, have held a sit-in protest in front of Urfa Courthouse demanding justice for 99 days. The family members came in front of the courthouse in the morning to hold their protest. The journalists, who wanted to take pictures of the family, were blocked by police.

Şenyaşar family posted a tweet today and said, “Just saying we demand JUSTICE is not enough! Sometimes, injustice must be challenged! Don’t stay silent if you witness injustice! Take a step forward, human dignity demands this. There are many laws but no justice! There are many prosecutors but no courage! There is so much cruelty but nobody to bring them to account! There is judgment but no will…”
