News Center- The dead body of a female engineer identified as Rawan Amatanious Salloum was found in the village of Al-Sisniyah in Tartus countryside, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a UK-based monitoring group, reported on Thursday.

According to the monitoring group, 25-year-old Rawan Amatanious Salloum was strangled to death and she was a member of the Christian community.

SOHR called on the relevant authorities to “urgently identify and prosecute the attackers" and warned of the growing wave of violent, organized crimes destroying Syrian society, "without any serious strategy to protect civilians.”
