News Center- Deniz Özen, representative of Demirören News Agency (DHA) in Sinop Province, posted a video on his social media account and announced that one of his colleagues named Irmak has been fired by Celal Korkut, the General Manager at the DHA, for just being pregnant.

Deniz Özen claims that the female reporter was told, “You will be a mother, your child will get sick and you will take maternity leave. You will get sick and we don’t want to deal with such things. For this reason, we don’t want to work with you anymore.” In the video, Deniz Özen tears apart his press card to protest the DHA by saying, “We thought DHA was our family but we were wrong. I will not work for DHA anymore. I am tearing my press card apart. We do our profession with dignity and we condemn regretfully this incident that happened to our colleague Irmak.”
