The whereabouts of four Kurdish women activists remain unknown since their arrest in Eastern Kurdistan (Iranian Kurdistan) on Monday.

News Center- On March 10, 2025, the agents of the IRGC’s intelligence arrested four Kurdish women activists for participating in an event held in Sanandaj, a city of Eastern Kurdistan (Iranian Kurdistan), on International Women’s Day, March 8.
Sohaila Motaei, a Kurdish women’s rights activist and former political prisoner, was arrested in the city of Dehgolan and transferred to an unknown location, Kurdish women’s rights activists Leila Pashaei, from Saqqez, Soma Mohammadrezaei and Baran Saedi were arrested in the city of Sanandaj and transferred to an unknown location.
Their whereabouts remain unknown
The whereabouts of Kurdish women activists Leila Pashaei, Soheyla Motaei, Soma Mohammadrezaei and Baran Saedi remain unknown, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) said in a statement on Thursday.
The activists have been denied access to legal counsel and family visits, the organization reported. “Despite repeated requests from their families, the security and judicial authorities have not provided any details about the detainees’ conditions or whereabouts.”
