Tunisia- Imen Zahouani Houimel, the Minister of Women, Family, Children, and Seniors, announced that the violence hotline has received more than 13,000 calls from individuals reporting violence against them, including 3,500 calls about violence against women.

The minister also announced that the hotline received 6,500 calls about violence against children. The minister pointed to the increase in the number of cases of violence against seniors, saying that the ministry will focus on this issue.  The minister also pointed to the increase of domestic violence at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic and said that the rate of domestic violence has been decreasing.
