Şenyaşar family demand justice for 207 days

Emine Şenyaşar and Ferit Şenyaşar have held a sit-in protest in front of Urfa Courthouse demanding justice for their killed relatives for 207 days.

Riha- Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, have held a sit-in protest in front of the Urfa Courthouse demanding justice for 207 days.
On the 207th day of the sit-in protest, Ferit Şenyaşar stated that he and his mother have been demanding an effective investigation be launched into the incident for 207 days.  “Our three members were killed at the Suruç State Hospital. Unfortunately, no legal proceedings have been started even though three years and three months have passed since the massacre took place.”
Ferit Şenyaşar recalled that the Turkish parliament begins its new legislative session, “Our case will be one of the main agendas of the parliament. We will keep struggling to the end. We will not leave here.” Ferit Şenyaşar also called on MPs to support their struggle for justice.
