News Center- Yesterday, the members of the Izmir Women’s Platform issued a press statement in front of Prof. Dr. Türkan Saylan Cultural Center to protest Ali Erbaş, the head of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, for his speech targeting women’s achievements at the opening ceremony of the new judicial year in Turkey.

Selin Kurşun read the press statement on behalf of women and said, “We don’t accept your religious impositions seeing women as ‘complement’ for men and saying that ‘women and men cannot be equal because their nature is different.’ Our struggle will continue until we build an equal and free life”
