Shehba- Afrin, known for its fertile olive groves, lands, and rich vegetation, was occupied by Turkey and its paramilitary groups four years ago. The people of Afrin resisted attacks for two months to not leave their city but they were forcibly displaced from their homeland to other areas of NE Syria. The march was held between the Sherawa district of Afrin and the M5 highway. They carried the photos of those who lost their lives in the attacks on Afrin and shouted slogans. After the march, Şiraz Hemo, co-chair of the Afrin Canton Executive Council, made a speech. We commemorate the heroes of the age of resistance. We will liberate Afrin one day,” she said in her speech.
