Ankara- The Drafting Commission, consisting of the members of the Committee on Constitution and the Committee on Justice had a meeting yesterday to discuss the two summaries of proceedings seeking to lift the immunity of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) MP Semra Güzel. The commission has given Semra Güzel time to make her oral and written defense.

Members of the commission

The Drafting Commission has five members. AKP Kırıkkale MP Ramazan Can becomes the president of the commission while AKP Mersin MP Zeynep Gül Yılmaz becomes the spokesperson of the commission. AKP Istanbul MP Abdullah Güler, Republican People's Party (CHP) Antalya MP Rafet Zeybek and HDP Batman MP Mehmet Rüştü Tiryaki are other members of the commission.

Semra Güzel should make her writing defense until January 28 and her oral defense until January 31.
