Today, Emine Şenyaşar was summoned to testify on allegations that she insulted Turkey’s Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu.

Riha- Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, has held a sit-in protest in front of Urfa Courthouse demanding justice for 186 days.

The family went in front of the courthouse to keep holding their protest in the morning. A legal case has been opened against Emine Şenyaşar by the Urfa 2nd Criminal Court of First Instance for “insulting a state employee.”

Today, Emine Şenyaşar testified to prosecutors at Urfa Courthouse along with her son Ferit Şenyaşar and her lawyer Gökhan Dayık. She stated in her testimony that she hadn’t insulted Süleyman Soylu. After the testimony process, the family returned to keep holding their protest.
