Riha- Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, have held a sit-in protest in front of the Urfa Courthouse demanding justice for 211 days.

The family’s banner reading, “A father and his two sons were killed at the hospital on June 16, 2018. No lawsuit has been opened because a member of parliament was involved in the massacre. We demand justice for everyone,” was confiscated by police officers on the 200th day of their protest. Today, the Şenyaşar family demanded their banner back but their demand was rejected.

On the 200th day of the protest, 200 lawyers issued a statement in order to be in solidarity with the family. According to received reports, an investigation has been launched against Bülent Duran and Serdar Tüm, two out of 200 lawyers for being in solidarity with the family.
