News Center- Kurdish actress Shohreh Ghamar has been sentenced to four years and eight months in prison by the Revolutionary Court of Tehran, her lawyer, Ali Sharifzadeh Ardakani, announced on Sunday.

On April 12, 2025, Shohreh Ghamar, originally from Sanandaj and living in Tehran, was sentenced to three years and six months in prison on charges of f “supporting Israel” and fourteen months on charges of “spreading false information in support of the Women, Life, Freedom movement and inciting public opinion”, Ali Sharifzadeh Ardakani said, confirming that an appeal against the verdict has been filed.

On August 5, 2023, Shohreh Ghamar was arrested. After 42 days in detention, she was released on bail on September 11, 2023.
