News Center- The protests that started in Iran and Rojhilat following the killing of Jina Mahsa Amini in mid-September 2022 continue. The judiciary of the Iranian government has been escalating a crackdown on the opposition and people from different nationals and religions, particularly on the activists. According to Iranian human rights organizations, more than 367 Kurdish and Baloch citizens have been arrested in the Sistan and Baluchestan Province in the last month. The reports say that 12 of the arrested and identified people are women. Reports also say that 185 Baloch people were arrested only in the city of Zahidan.

The Iranian human rights organizations concern that the number of arrestees may be more than they determined.

Student activist Shiva Mousazadeh summoned for interrogation

Shiva Mousazadeh, a master’s student at the Tehran University of Art, Practical Art, was reportedly summoned to testify by the Khorramabad Revolutionary Court. She faces charges of “propagandizing against regime” and “disturbing public order”.

Strudent activist Shiva Mousazadeh was arrested during a commemoration ceremony for Nika Shahkarami (16), was found dead after taking part in protests. Then, she was temporarily released from the Khorramabad prison on bail of 800 million Iranian Tomans.

Muhiya Dahidi and Shura Fakhri released on bail

Activist Mohiya Dahidi, who was imprisoned in Evin Prison, was released on bail yesterday. According to local reports, her computer and mobile phone confiscated during the raid on her home were not given back to her after her release. Mohiya Dahidi is an activist who works as a volunteer in non-governmental organizations and actively participates in aid activities.

Activist Shura Fakhri, student of Bizarzani University of Economics in Mazandaran, was released on bail yesterday after being kept in the Prison of Amol for 75 days. The student activist was arrested on the street of Amol on the evening of November 20 on charges of “propagandizing against regime”, “disturbing public order” and “insulting Iranian authorities”.

Two journalists summoned to testify

Two women journalists, Marjan Zahrai and Maryam Shokrani were summoned for interrogation by the Tehran Revolutionary Court. The two journalists will reportedly stand trial on February 18 as part of an investigation launched against them on charges of “propagandizing against regime”.
