3 people killed in Turkish shelling on Tishreen dam

Three people were killed and 19 others injured in the second attack of the Turkish state and Turkish-backed factions against civilians holding a vigil on Tishreen Dam on Wednesday.

News Center- The Turkish state and Turkish-backed factions targeted a civilian convoy heading to the Tishreen Dam from the Euphrates Canton of North and East Syria on Wednesday, killing three civilians and injuring 19 others.

The civilians killed in the attack have been identified as Omer Hisen Derwesh, Osman Mustefa Ibrahim and Basim Omer.

Four people injured in the attack have not been identified yet while 15 injured civilians identified. Their names are: Îlham Xelîl Derwêş (36), Dîlan Murad Xelîl (21), Edle Mustefa Mihemed Elî (24), Azad Idrîs, Yasir Hemîd, Mazlûm Hemo (30), Meryem Henan (70), Mahir Mehyedîn, Kurdo Mehmûd Hesen, Fatme Omer Elî, Izedîn Hecî Ebas, Osman Îbrahîm, Hîbe Omer Ezîz, Ronîze and Mihemed Ebdulqadir.

Civilians have staged a vigil on the dam to protest the attacks of the Turkish state and Turkish-backed factions on the dam. Since January 8, seven people have been killed in the attacks targeting civilians. 

On January 8, a Turkish drone attack targeted a civilian convoy heading from the Raqqa, Jazira, Tabqa and Euphrates cantons of North and East Syria to the Tishreen Dam to protest the attacks of the Turkish state and Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) on the dam, killing four civilians, including Kerem Ehmed, one of the managers of the Zenûbiya Women’s Community, and injuring 15 civilians.
