Women’s Film Festival to kick off in Qamishlo

The Women’s Film Festival will be held by the Kezi Women Collective in the city of Qamishlo, northeastern Syria, from May 25 to May 31, 2025.

News Center- The Kezi Women Collective, a collective of independent women filmmakers in North and East Syria, will organize the “Women’s Film Festival” at the Mihemed Şêxo Culture and Art Centre and the Azadi Park in the city of Qamishlo (Qamishli) from May 25 to May 32, 2025.

Short films, feature films and documentaries by women from four parts of Kurdistan, South America, European countries such as Germany, Palestine, Afghanistan, Iran and Egypt will be screened at the festival supported by Sine Jin Rojava and Hîlala Zêrîn Women's Cultural Movement.

At the festival, seminars and panels will be also organized. The festival will kick off at the Azadi Park on May 25. According to the program of the festival, the films to be screened at the festival are as follows:
