“Siwarên Çûkan” theater play performed at Arîn Bisk and Zilfên Aştiyê Theater Festival

The 2nd Arîn Bisk and Zilfên Aştiyê Theater Festival continues with the performances of theater groups. Last night, “Siwarên Çûkan” theater play was performed at the festival.

Kobanê - The 2nd Arîn Bisk and Zilfên Aştiyê Theater Festival, which kicked off in Kobanê on October 5, on the 8th death anniversary of YPJ fighter Arin Mirkan, with the motto, “Little Hope Here Should be Disclosed,” continues with theater performances and various activities. Last night, on the seventh day of the festival, “Siwarên Çûkan” was performed by the theater players of the Baqi Khedo Center for Culture and Art in Kobanê and directed by Elî Îsa. The play is about the experiences of young people while being fighters. It also tells the resistance of the mothers of the fighters and their painful search for the bones of their children, who lost their lives.

“Kurdish mothers have a great will”

Theater player Leyla Ehmed portrayed a mother in the theater performance. “Actually, we tried to show the audience the feelings of mothers. Kurdish mothers have a great will and we tried to show their great will because mothers are the most attacked by the enemies of the Kurdish people,” she told us.

Ronîza Mihemed portrayed a female fighter in the “Siwarên Çûkan” theater play. She told us that they had made great efforts for the preparation of the theater play and that they were happy because their performance was liked by the audience.

The 2nd Arîn Bisk and Zilfên Aştiyê Theater Festival will continue until October 14. Tonight, the “Kontînêr” theater play will be performed by the members of the Culture and Art Center in Aleppo.
