Hasakah - The ongoing clashes and conflicts between regional and global powers in Syria deepens the crisis in Syria and no solution can be found for this crisis. Not only regional powers, but also international powers are secretly fighting against the democratic nation project and trying to destroy the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria. But the people of the region, the architects of the revolution, keep fighting all attacks and protecting their gains. The women living in the Zirgan (Abu Rasin) town of Hasakah spoke to NuJINHA about the ongoing Turkish attacks in the region.

“We will protect the gains of the revolution”

Nesrin Mihemed, a young woman of Zirgan, reacted to the Turkish attacks and said, “Erdoğan should not dream of occupying our region because we, as young people, will not allow him. Erdoğan wants to annihilate the Kurds but we will not be annihilated. As young people, we will not allow Erdoğan and his factions to occupy our region. It is time to protect the gains of the revolution. Everyone should rise up.”

“International law has been violated”

Dunya El-Fireh, a health care worker in Zirgan, spoke about the war crimes being committed by Turkey and said, “Many organizations and centers have been targeted in the Turkish attacks. The houses and property of civilians have been destroyed. Our health center was shelled. The Turkish state has been violating international law by attacking the health centers. Our health center is the only health center in Zirgan. For this reason, it was targeted. These attacks cannot break our will and we will continue to struggle.”

“I will stand by the fighters”

“As a mother, I will always stand by the fighters, I will help the injured at the hospital. I will always help them in the neighborhoods by cooking for them. We did not attack the Turkish state or its factions but we will resist if they attack us,” Selwa Mihemed told us.

“We are stronger with our fighters”

Drawing attention to the guarantor powers such as America and Russia, Selwa Mihemed told us that they have never relied upon these powers. “We do not expect them to protect us. Our defense units can protect us. We are stronger with our fighters and we will definitely prevail.”
