‘Our march for freedom against the policies of destabilization will continue’

“Our march for freedom against the Syrian government’s policies of destabilization will continue,” said Şahrazad Al-Cassim, coordinating member of the Zenûbya Women’s Community, reacting to the ongoing attacks on Deir ez-Zor Canton.

Deir ez-Zor- The Syrian government and the Difa al Watani (National Defense Forces, NDF), a Syrian pro-government paramilitary volunteer militia, have intensified their attacks on the Deir ez-Zor Canton. “The attacks are against the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria,” said Şahrazad Al-Cassim, coordinating member of the Zenûbya Women’s Community. “They aim to destabilize the region.”

‘Our march for freedom will continue’

We will stand against the attacks of the Syrian government, Şahrazad Al-Cassım stressed. “The Syrian government aims to control the region for its own interests. Despite the attacks, our march for freedom will continue. We will stand against all attacks targeting us. As the people and women of the region, we will mobilize more against the attacks. These lands belong to the people of these lands. We are determined to protect our homeland.”

 ‘We will not leave our homeland’

The attacks of the Syrian government aim to take control of the region and disrupt peace in the region, Şahrazad Al-Cassım said, “But our will is stronger than their plans and conspiracies. We will not allow them to take our achieved gains from us. Their plans and conspiracies will not be able to weaken the will of the people of Deir ez-Zor. As women of Deir ez-Zor, we will continue to stand against the attacks of the Syrian government and Iranian militias. We will not leave our homeland at any cost. Our march for freedom will not stop until we achieve the goal.”
