News Center- Şilan Topal, was kidnapped by Mithat Topal and his friends in Istanbul’s Şişli district after filing for divorce, has been rescued.

Şilan Topal, who filed for divorce nine months ago, was kidnapped by Mithat Topal and his friends in front of her mother’s house located in the Mahmut Şevket Paşa neighborhood of Istanbul’s Şişli district.

After Şilan Topal’s family reported the incident, police launched a search operation to find her. Police determined that Şilan Topal was held in a house in the Gaziosmanpaşa neighborhood. Police rescued Şilan Topal and detained Mithat Topal and his friends.

“I am happy to be rescued”

After being rescued, Şilan Topal answered the questions of journalists in front of Çağlayan Courthouse. “I am happy to be rescued. They should be punished. All I want is to see my child,” she told the journalists.
