Joint letter calls on Spanish government to take immediate action against attacks on NE Syria

32 non-governmental organizations in Spain have sent a joint letter to the Spanish government, calling the government to take immediate action against the ongoing attacks on North and East Syria.

News Center- 32 non-governmental organizations in Spain and all autonomous regions in Spain have sent a joint letter to the Spanish government to be in solidarity with the people of North and East Syria.

The letter pointed to the recent developments in the region controlled by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) and the attacks of the Syrian National Army (SNA) on the region.

‘The whole world is at risk’

ISIS members are also among the members of the SNA, the letter emphasized, saying, “Not only North and East Syria but also the whole world is at risk.”

The letter called on the Spanish government and the European Union to take immediate action to “Provide urgent humanitarian aid to hundreds of thousands of people displaced to the safe areas controlled by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria. The recent attacks pose a threat to hundreds of thousands of displaced people, especially Kurdish people. The Spanish government and the European Union must put pressure on the Turkish state to end its attacks and recognize the Autonomous Administration and its system.”
