Istanbul-  The Istanbul Planning Agency (IPA), an agency established by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, has shared the results of its recent survey regarding the Canal Istanbul Project. 77.2 percent of Istanbulites do not support the Canal Istanbul Project, according to the survey.

Of those who do not support the project, 53.8 percent say the project will harm the environment, 39.1 percent say the project will increase the risk of earthquakes and 31.2 percent say the project will create more profit in the city.
