News Center- JINNEWS, an all-women’s news agency based in Amed (Diyarbakır), has released its April 2025 report on femicide in Türkiye by compiling news from local and national newspapers, news websites and news agencies.

34 women and three children were killed and 14 women and two children died under suspicious circumstances in April 2025, according to the report.

 12 women were killed by their husbands, three by their ex-husbands, six women by their estranged husbands, one by her son, two by their partners, one by her father, one by a man she knew, the relationship between six women and their killers are not determined, the report said.

According to the report, 12 women were killed in Istanbul, two in Izmir, 2 in Tekirdağ, one in Riha (Urfa), one in Aksaray, two in Samsun, one in Kastamonu, one in Hatay, one in Manisa, two in Kars, one in Erzurum, three in Denizli, one in Malatya, one in Konya, one in Afyon, one in Eskişehir and one in Adana.
