Iranian security forces have arrested Kurdish artist Yalda Abbasi, enforcing an in-absentia one-year prison sentence issued against her due to her activities linked to the “Jin Jiyan Azadî” uprising.

Information indicates that Yalda Abbasi, who is the mother of a one-and-a-half-year-old child, had arrived in Iran with her husband and child to spend a holiday and visit her family, before being unexpectedly arrested.
