Imprisoned women journalists transferred to other prison
Journalists Gülistan Dursun, Pınar Gayıp and Serpil Ünal have been transferred from Bakırköy Closed Women’s Prison to Marmara Prison.
News Center- Three women journalists, who were sent to prison after being detained while protesting the killing of journalists Cihan Bilgin and Nazım Daştan in a Turkish drone attack in northern Syria, have been transferred to another prison.

During the protest, nine people, including seven journalists, were detained and sent to prison on charges of “propagandizing for an illegal organization”. Journalist Gülistan Dursun, Etkin News Agency (ETHA) editor Pınar Gayıp and Mücadele Birliği Newspaper reporter Serpil Ünal were transferred to Bakırköy Women’s Closed Prison.
According to the reports, the three journalists were transferred to Marmara Closed Prison on Thursday without giving information to their families and the journalists were not allowed to take even their belongings. Other prisoners informed their families that the three journalists had been transferred to another prison.
Therefore, the lawyers of the journalists called Bakırköy Women's Closed Prison today and were told that the women journalists had been transferred to another prison.
