Emine Karakaş, who was seriously wounded by a man named Aslan Karakaş in the Bismil district of Diyarbakır, passed away after struggling for her life for 138 days at hospital but the perpetrator hasn’t been detained yet.

Emine Karakaş was shot after facing threats and abuses

On February 4, 2020, 34-year-old Aslan Karakaş shot and 16-year-old Emine Karakaş and seriously wounded her in the Bismil district of Diyarbakır province. Before shooting her, the man abused, threatened, and forced Emine Karakaş to marry him for a year. Seriously wounded Emine Karakaş was taken to the Dicle University Medical Faculty Hospital in Diyarbakır. According to received reports, Emine Karakaş passed away at the hospital after struggling for her life for 138 days. The perpetrator, Aslan Karakaş hasn’t been detained yet.
