Emine Şenyaşar’s protest demanding “justice” enters its 53rd day

Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed, has held a sit-in protest demanding justice for 53 days.

 

Riha - Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP Ibrahim Halil Yıldız in Suruç district of Urfa province, has held a sit-in protest in front of Urfa Courthouse with her son Ferit Şenyaşar demanding justice for her killed husband and two sons since March 9. The Şenyaşar family couldn’t come to in front of the courthouse today due to full lockdown in Turkey.

The family posted a tweet and said, “Lockdowns cannot prevent our struggle for justice. We will keep demanding justice. We would like to thank Mersin Bar Association, İHD (Human Rights Association) Mersin Branch and ÖHD (Libertarian Lawyers Association) Mersin Branch for giving their word to provide legal support to our struggle for justice.”
