DFG Co-chair Dicle Müftüoğlu released
Dicle Müftüoğlu, the co-chair of the Dicle Fırat Journalists Association (DFG) and editor for Mesopotamia News Agency (MA), has been released.
Amed – Dicle Müftüoğlu, the co-chair of the Dicle Fırat Journalists Association (DFG) and editor for Mesopotamia News Agency (MA), was taken into custody after police raided her home in Diyarbakır on June 3 as part of an investigation launched by the Van Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for sending money to imprisoned journalists Ziya Ataman and Nedim Türfent. Yesterday, she was sent to the Diyarbakır Courthouse.
While being questioned by the Van Chief Public Prosecutor's Office through Audio-Visual Information System (SEGBİS), Dicle Müftüoğlu was asked why she had sent money to journalists Nedim Türfent and Ziya Ataman. Dicle Müftüoğlu said that she had sent money to them in order to be in solidarity with the journalists.
Dicle Müftüoğlu has been released under judicial control.
