News Center_ Hayat Tahrir al-Sham jihadists in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyah neighborhoods have carried out intensive arrest campaigns against residents and taken them to unknown locations.

Local sources reported today, Monday, January 12, that those arrested by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham jihadists in the Sheikh Maqsoud & Ashrafiyah neighborhoods of Aleppo city have been taken to unknown destinations, amid a state of tension and anxiety prevailing in the area.

Local committees from the residents of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyah have also documented the loss of contact with more than 271 people.

Since January 10, residents of the two neighborhoods have been posting on their personal social media pages about losing contact with their relatives both inside and outside the neighborhoods, documenting the cases with names and photos.

Reports have emerged indicating that Hayat Tahrir al-Sham militants have carried out liquidation operations against residents within Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyah neighborhoods, along with arresting hundreds who were subjected to systematic shelling over the past two days. Women were taken to mosques, while men were led to unknown locations.
