Riha - Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız and her son Ferit Şenyaşar have held a sit-in protest in front of Urfa Courthouse demanding justice for their killed relatives for 81 days.

The family members came to Urfa Courthouse in the morning to demand justice. They weren’t allowed to hold their protest in the yard of the courthouse by police so they have been holding their protest outside of the courthouse.

“We feel hopeful”

Yesterday, Ferit Şenyaşar couldn’t hold the protest with his mother because he visited his brother Fadıl Şenyaşar kept in Elazığ Prison. Today he shared what he talked to his brother. Stating that his brother has been unlawfully held in prison for three years, Ferit Şenyaşar said that his brother has resisted alone in the prison. Underlining that they will not lose their faith in justice, the Şenyaşar family said, “We feel hopeful. My brother doesn’t lose his faith. One day, the truths will be revealed and my brother will be released from prison. We don’t accept sitting at home. We live under persecution. Our three members were killed. We gave our word to them; we will keep struggling for justice until the perpetrators are tried and pay the price before the judiciary.”
