Hesekê- The Turkish military has carried out attacks on Eyn İsa, Zirgan, and Til Temir towns of NE Syria since the beginning of August. Dozens of people were killed and many civilians were wounded in these attacks. Women living in the Til Temir town of Hesekê react to these attacks.

“They want to break the solidarity of people”

Xedice Asim indicated that civilians are being killed, “The invaders have been brutally attacking Zirgan and Til Temir for more than a week. Everyone sees the Til Temir Military Council has been targeted. The Turkish state has carried out a special war against us.” Stating that Turkey wants to break the solidarity of the peoples living together within the scope of the democratic nation project in the region, Xecide Asim said, “We have received reports saying the Turkish state will launch operation to occupy Til Temir. The Turkish state wants to do what ISIS couldn’t do in 2015. We stood by our fighters in 2015 and we will continue to stand by them. We will not allow the invaders to occupy our territory. People should unite against this special war.”

“Peoples live together”

Egyptian İtab Hesen has lived in Til Temir for nine years. “Peoples live together in Til Temir. We support each other whenever we face difficulties. But a special war has been carried out against us. As the peoples of this region, we resist all kinds of attacks,” İtab Hesen said that civilians living in villages have been targeted in the attacks. “The Turkish state wants to terrorize people to depopulate the region. But we will not allow this because an honorable death is better than a dishonorable life.”
