“The hospital consisting of two floors and a basement has a laboratory, a radiology department, a women's clinic, a newborn department, a pharmacy, which will provide free medications, a labor and delivery department, a pregnancy follow-up care department, a surgical department and a primary care department having 10 incubators. Our hospital has a qualified and experienced staff consisting of specialist doctors, midwives and nurses. Our hospital provides free health services to all residents of the region and surrounding rural areas. Now, patients do not need to travel for hours to go to hospitals in other regions.”

‘The hospital is an important hospital for the region’

Women who come to the hospital are first asked to fill out a medical history form, Yasmin Muhammed, a nurse working at the hospital, told NuJINHA. “We provide care to pregnant women throughout their pregnancy, during childbirth, and in the immediate period following delivery.”

Wafaa Al-Abdullah, a patient's relative, was at the hospital because her daughter would give birth. “This is my first visit to the hospital. The hospital is an important hospital for the region because it provides free health services to women. Private hospitals are very expensive.”
