Women’s solidarity action for freedom of Nazanin Zaghari

Feminist group FiLiA has organized women across multiple countries to fast for the freedom of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, who has been jailed in Iran since 2016.

 

News Center- Women from India, Morocco, Iran, and Britain had already signed up to stage successive 24-hour fasts to put pressure on the British and Iranian governments over Nazanin Zaghari’s imprisonment.

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe is an Iranian-British dual citizen who has been detained in Iran since April 2016. On March 17, 2016, she traveled to visit her family with her 22-month-old daughter. On April 3, 2016, she was arrested at the Imam Khomeini Airport as she and her daughter were about to board a flight back to the UK.
