Kobanê – Yesterday, the Turkish state carried out an attack in the Perax village of Zakho, a district of Duhok, killed nine Iraqi citizens, including women and children and wounded 23 citizens.
Today, the women of Kobanê issued a statement condemning the Zakho massacre with the participation of the members of Kongra Star, Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM), Democratic Union Party and Kobanê Martyrs' Families Association. The statement said that the Turkish state posed a great threat not only against the Kurdish people and all people living in the region.
The gains of the revolution are targeted
“The Turkish state's attacks on the Kurdistan Region and North and East of Syria continue without interruption. The aim of the Turkish state is to break the will of the people by carrying out attacks and to destroy the gains of the revolution of the people struggling for decades,” said Mizgin Hesen, a coordinating member of the Kongra Star.
Stating that the women of Kobanê and the people of Kobanê share the pain of the families of those who lost their lives in the massacre, Mizgin Hesen said, “We know very well that the Turkish state has attacked not only the Kurdish people but also the people of the Middle East. The Zakho massacre shows this very well. Everyone should take a firm stance against the attack.”
