Tunisia- Tunisian Ministry of Women, Family, Children, and Seniors (MFFES) issued a statement to condemn the increasing domestic violence against women during the month of Ramadan. In the statement, the ministry also called on all politicians, political parties, and NGOs to spread the culture of combating violence against women.

Violence kills women like a pandemic

Tunisian Association of Democratic Women also issued a statement and condemned the attacks against women. In the statement, the association drew attention to the Eid Holiday and announced that they will launch a campaign called, “There is no Eid or holiday because women are killed.” The association also called on everyone to hang the slogan, “There is no Eid for women, and violence kills them like a pandemic” everywhere.

Misawa, women’s organization of Tunisian Workers’ Party, announced that they declare May 9 as a national day for the elimination of violence against women to commemorate female victims of violence.
