Vida Rabbani temporarily released from Evin prison
Vida Rabbani, a human rights defender and journalist, has been temporarily released from Evin prison.

News Center- Vida Rabbani, a human rights defender and journalist, has been temporarily released from prison for five days, Hasti Amiri, a former political prisoner and a law student at Allameh Tabataba'i University, said in a post on Instagram on Tuesday.
On September 24, 2022, Vida Rabbani was arrested for reporting the nationwide protests that sparked in Iran following the killing of Mahsa Jina Amini. On December 31, 2022, she was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison on charges of “acting and colluding against national security” and “spreading propaganda against the system”.
Previously, she was arrested by security forces on November 22, 2020 over her social media posts on the protests sparked by the anniversary of the downing of the Ukrainian commercial flight in 2020. She was sentenced to 10 years and four months in prison on charges of “blasphemy,” “assembly and collusion to act against national security,” “propaganda against the regime,” and “disrupting public order”.
