UNRWA:Massive Destruction in Gaza poses Grave Threat to civilian lives.

Amid the escalating humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, the (UNRWA) has warned of a worsening situation, confirming that tens of thousands of displaced people are now seeking shelter in its facilities for protection.

News Center – Tens of thousands of displaced people who have lost their homes and livelihoods continue to suffer, forced to seek refuge in shelters and destroyed buildings under dire humanitarian conditions. They face deteriorating living circumstances amid severe shortages of water, food, and healthcare.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) expressed deep concern on Tuesday, November 4, over the worsening humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, noting that around 75,000 displaced people have sought shelter in more than 100 of its facilities for protection.

The agency reported that the strip is witnessing widespread destruction, including unstable buildings and unexploded ordnance that continue to threaten residents. It added that its teams are working to keep shelters operational and to provide safe spaces for children to continue learning and playing despite the ongoing crisis.

According to estimates from Gaza’s Government Media Office, two million Palestinians out of a population of 2.4 million have been repeatedly displaced over the past two years due to the war of extermination and ongoing forced displacement policies.

The office added that 288,000 Palestinian families remain homeless, after their houses were destroyed by Israeli forces, with displaced people now crowded into narrow areas lacking basic necessities for survival
