Tunisian politician Jamilia Ksiksi dies at 54

Tunisian feminist, activist and former MP Jamila Debbech Ksiksi has died at the age of 54 today in a car crash.

54-year-old Jamila Debbech Ksiksi was an important figure of Tunisia. On October 26, 2014, she was elected to the Assembly of the Representatives of the People becoming the country's first black female MP. She was a Pan-Africanist activist working on solidarity among African peoples, and the Co-founder of the continental of African Women Leaders Network and coordinator of Tunisian chapter, AWLN-Tunisia.
