To Strengthen Kurdish Culture...New Tourism Projects iin Biyare Village,Kurdistan Region

Two new tourism projects opened in Biyare village to promote Kurdish culture and heritage with local officials, as part of ongoing work to transform it into an integrated tourist destination.

Biyare_Jiya Qasim,Director of Tourism in Halabja,affirmed that the two tourism projects in Biyare focus on developing the strategic road between the Kurdistan Region and eastern Kurdistan,and improving the aesthetics of the areas with natural materials,as part of ongoing efforts over the past year to transform the village into an integrated tourist destination.

Two tourism projects have been launched in Biyare village with the aim of highlighting the village's culture and promoting interest in Kurdish heritage and village traditions in the Kurdistan Region, within the framework of the UNESCO Global Village Competition.

The village witnessed the opening of the two projects yesterday, Tuesday, August 11, attended by residents, the Governor of Halabja, and the Director General of Tourism in the governorate—a step aimed at supporting Kurdish culture and reviving its landmarks.

Jiya Qasim,Director of Tourism in Halabja,stated that the directorate has funded the implementation of two new tourism projects,and that they are working on developing the road linking the  Kurdistan Region and eastern Kurdistan as a strategic route, in addition to efforts to protect areas and improve their general appearance, with the necessity of equipping tourist sites with natural materials. Work on the project has been ongoing for a year,aiming to transform the village into an integrated tourist destination.
