Teyba Mihemed murdered: Her murder is tried to be recorded as “suicide”
Teyba Mihemed, who was subjected to systematic violence by her husband, was murdered as a result of an inflammable substance attack. Even though her murder is tried to be recorded as “suicide”, the statements of the witnesses reveal that the incident was not a suicide but a murder. An investigation has been launched into the incident while her husband hasn’t been arrested yet.

Baghdad – 20-year-old Teyba Mihemed went to her family house many times because she was subjected to violence by her husband. However, her family sent her back to her husband. Teyba Mihemed, who continued to suffer systematic violence, was killed with an inflammable substance by her husband. He allegedly lit her on fire. According to one of our sources, Teyba Mihemed lost her hope of divorce because her family didn’t allow her.
“She was threatened with death”
“Her husband didn’t care of his family. He didn’t meet the basic needs of Teyba. Every day, Teyba was threatened with death by her husband. Her family actually caused her to be subjected to violence. She was killed because of her family, who sent her back,” our source, who didn’t want to be named, told us.

She was taken to a hospital due to severe burns that covered her body. But she died at the hospital. Despite all the evidence, the perpetrator has not been arrested yet.
