“Stop being a party to this crime”

Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in an attack, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, survived the attack, have held a sit-in protest in front of Urfa Courthouse for 87 days.

Riha- Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in an attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, survived the attack, have held a sit-in protest in front of Urfa Courthouse demanding justice for 87 days. 
Today, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar made their way to Urfa Courthouse in early morning hours and began to hold their sit-in protest in front of the courthouse’s Atatürk’s Statue. 
Emine Şenyaşar gave information to lawyers and citizens entering the courthouse about what they have faced. The Şenyaşar family, who has summited many petitions to the prosecutor’s office demanding a lawsuit to be opened about the massacre at Suruç State Hospital and to take action against 23 people identified by the prosecutor, stated that they couldn’t reach the prosecutor and receive any answers. The family is waiting at the courthouse to submit their petition to the prosecutor's office.
Şenyaşar family also posted a tweet today, “Protecting the perpetrators and preventing them from being prosecuted is also a crime. Stop committing crimes and being a party to this crime. Immediately prosecute the identified 23 people, who carried out this massacre.”
