Sit-in protest for justice enters its 413th day

“The state also accepts that an organized massacre was committed against our family by using political force,” the Şenyaşar family says on the 413th day of their sit-in protest in front of the Urfa Courthouse.

Riha - The sit-in protest started in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out on June 14, 2018, in the Suruç district of Urfa province by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, has continued on its 413th day.

The mother and her son, who kept holding their protest at home at the weekend, came in front of the courthouse in the morning and started holding their protest by sitting on the stairs of the courthouse. They are giving information about their sit-in protest to the people and lawyers entering the courthouse.

“The state also accepts that an organized massacre was committed against our family by using political force. In the incident, we were chosen as victims. Three members of our family were killed. Fadıl Şenyaşar, who has been held hostage in prison, should be released so that the persecution in front of the courthouse ends,” the Şenyaşar family posted on their social media today.
