News Center- The Peace Mothers’ Assembly in Amed held a press conference at the Human Rights Association (IHD) Amed Branch on Wednesday, calling on the Turkish government to take a step for peace.

“As Peace Mothers, we will do everything to bring peace to the country,” the assembly said. “I would like to thank everyone, who has taken steps to build peace,” said Havva Kıran, a member of the Peace Mothers’ Assembly in Amed. “On behalf of all mothers demanding peace, we say: Stop the warplanes. The tears in the eyes of all mothers should stop. We did not give birth to our children to be killed. We gave birth to our children and raised them to live freely with their own identity. The Turkish state has not taken a step for the peace process yet. We have already taken a step and now the state should take a step.”

‘Peace will definitely come’

Havva Kıran called on the international community to do its part for building peace in Türkiye. “I call on all mothers and people to bring peace together. We want to live together in peace. We will demand peace as long as we live and we will bring peace.

Peace will definitely come. All we want is peace and freedom.”
