Amed - On the 233rd day of their Justice Watch, the families of prisoners gathered in front of the Council of Forensic Medicine (ATK) in Diyarbakır to demand the release of sick prisoners and the prisoners, who are not released despite having completed their sentences.
Speaking during the action, Herdem Mervanî, one of the relatives of prisoners, said that the rights violations committed against the sick prisoners and the prisoners, who are not released despite having completed their sentences, continue to increase and that they will keep their Justice Watch until all problems are resolved in prisons.
“We say enough is enough”
Calling on the ATK to make decisions by rejecting political pressure, Herdem Mervanî said, “The ATK has violated the political prisoners’ rights to life and treatment. We say enough is enough to ATK. Many people have heard our voices but not ATK.”
“Justice should be delivered”
Nazime Boltan, a relative of a prisoner, read their demands again. “Our demand is the release of sick prisoners, the prisoners, who are not released despite having completed their sentences. Justice should be delivered now. A solution should be found for our children,” she said.
