News Center- Jinnews, an all-women’s news agency based in Amed (Diyarbakır), has released its February 2025 report on femicide in Türkiye by compiling news from local and national newspapers, news websites and news agencies. 15 women and two children were killed and 18 women and one child died under suspicious circumstances in February 2025, according to the report.

In February, three women were killed by their sons, two by their husbands, five by their ex-husbands, one by her partner, two by their ex-partners, one by her estranged husband, the report said.

According to the report, one woman was killed in Sakarya, two in Istanbul, two in Nevşehir, one in Konya, one in Afyon, one in Muş, one in Ankara, one in Izmir, two in Dîlok (Antep), one in Karabük, one in Amed and one in  Kayseri.
