Israel-Iran ceasefire begins
US President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that the ceasefire between Israel and Iran “is now in effect”. Iranian state television reported Tuesday that a ceasefire with Israel had begun.

News Center- US President Donald Trump announced on Monday evening that Israel and Iran agreed to a “complete and total ceasefire,” set to take effect “approximately 6 hours from now.”
“On the assumption that everything works as it should, which it will, I would like to congratulate both Countries, Israel and Iran, on having the Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence to end, what should be called, 'THE 12 DAY WAR'," Donald Trump wrote on his Truth Social site.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said early on Tuesday that if Israel stopped its “illegal aggression” against the Iranian people no later than 4 a.m., Iran had no intention of continuing its response afterwards. “The final decision on the cessation of our military operations will be made later,” Abbas Araqchi added in a post on social media platform X.
Iran's Press TV said Tuesday that the ceasefire had begun at 7:30 a.m. following waves of Iranian attacks on Israel. The semi-official Fars news agency, which is close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), also said that the ceasefire had begun at 7:30 a.m. local time. Shortly after the reports about the ceasefire, Iran launched another missile attack on Israel.
