On Monday, November 3, Iranian Revolutionary Guard Intelligence forces arrested researcher and sociologist Mahsa Asadollah Nejad after raiding her father’s home. She was taken to an undisclosed location, and her electronic devices were confiscated during the arrest, Another intelligence unit also raided the home of writer, translator, and researcher Shirin Karimi, arresting her and transferring her to an undisclosed location. So far, no information has been released regarding the reasons for the arrests, the places of detention, or the charges brought against them .
Mahsa Asadollah Nejad, born in 1980, is a well-known academic figure in the field of political sociology. Her research has mainly focused on the relationship between imagination, politics, and social structures in Iran.
